CUET General Test
It is noteworthy that the general test is applicable for all the courses that are not a part of the domain tests. In most cases, they complement the domain test. This is precisely why the general test is a common test. The CUET general test will have 75 questions and students will be required to attempt any 60 questions from them. That said, the wide variety of questions means that students will have to undertake intensive preparation and practice. Moreover, the CUET general test syllabus covers the following topics that students must prepare for:

General Knowledge
This is a common topic in most competitive exams. The questions include subjects like General Science, People and Places, Indian History, Popular Events, Civics and Geography. Theoretically speaking, it is not possible to know everything in the domain of General Knowledge. Hence, the best way a student can prepare for this exam is to practice the maximum number of questions possible.
Numerical Ability
It is a mathematical test where the aim is to assess your accuracy along with your speed while solving maths questions. The questions in this section are similar to the ones that are a part of common competitive exams like Railways, Bank PO, SSC etc. So, you can just practice some question papers and you will get a hang of it.
Legal Section
There are eight units in the legal studies section so if you study all the topics of these eight units properly, you will be able to crack the exam with flying colors.
Current Affairs
This is another common section in the exam where they might ask you around 10 to 12 questions. If you are well aware of the latest events and news happening around the world and in India, you will be able to answer the questions without any problems. As a part of your daily preparation, you can read the newspaper. This way, you will not have to worry about the questions in this section.
General Mental Ability
The questions in this section are very similar to the Olympiad exams that you take at the school level. However, many students lose practice very quickly so solve some mental ability questions before the exam.
Quantitative Reasoning
For this section, all you need to do is revise all the maths topics till 8th grade. Then, you will be able to crack the exam. Try to time yourself when you solve these questions and give yourself a maximum time limit of 1 minute to solve one question.
Logical & Analytical Reasoning
This section will test your logical as well as analytical skills so you will have to read the questions carefully and derive the answer. You can practice these questions in advance so you understand the tricks to solve these questions. You will find 10-12 such questions in the CUET exam so this section cannot be ignored.
